Parent Information to help students during Virtual Learning

General Information:

Parents can contact teachers via email links from familyportal.mnps.org If a parent needs an activation code for the Family Portal, they should email diane.chen@mnps.org including the name of their student for verification. Phone numbers and emergency contact information can be updated from the FamilyPortal. 

Families can request a laptop by filling out this online form, or if you need translation assistance, call the MNPS Help Desk at (615) 269-5956. A maximum of 2 laptops for families can be requested. 

  • Breakfast and lunch for students: Free breakfast and lunch will be available to anyone 18 and under, regardless of their school status; every weekday that schools are closed. Students should be present to collect the meals or parents will be asked to provide information to verify that the meals are for children 18 and under. The bagged or boxed meals will be provided in a drive-through setup. 

    • Meals are available for pickup between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the locations marked in green on the map below.

  • Delivery meals: Six MNPS school buses will deliver breakfast and lunch meals for children throughout Nashville to locations where students and families are able to pick up the meals.

    • Routes and estimated times of arrival are listed on the map below and can be downloaded.

  • Printables for enrichment: Learning and enrichment packets for students in grades pre-K to 12th grade will be available for pickup at food delivery sites every Monday.

    • The packets also can be downloaded from our Printable webpage so you can print at home.

  • School supply kits: PENCIL foundation will be distributing school supply kits designed for students grades Pre-K-6 at locations marked in yellow on the map below, starting at 10 a.m. until supplies last.

  • Martha O'Bryan will be handing out hot meals to those in need. These hot meals will be available every afternoon M-F 4-6pm in the community room. The food bank continues to operate M-W-F 9am-2pm. Contact Darlene Arnold at Darnold@marthaobryan.org 

To reset your student email password send an email to Student.PWresets@mnps.org and provide your First Name, Last Name, Student ID number that begins with 190, and School Name. This request can be made from your personal or parental email account. Make sure you add Student.PWresets@mnps.org to your contacts so a response doesn’t end up in your spam folder.

Stratford Teachers will continue to hold office hours and provide instructional assistance to students. A weekly schedule will be announced each Monday on Schoology. Parents can request from the teacher a one-time Schoology activation code to view every course for their child.
